The “Basque Premium Campers” are presented, in which the development and manufacture EKIDE GROUP participates

Ekide Group participes in the development and manufacture of the Camper “Maite” and “Aiala”, recently presented as a result of the SMART COMFORT PLATFORM 4.0 project.

Last week the SMART COMFORT PLATFORM 4.0 project was presented at the Alegria-Activity facilities; a project that has resulted in two van models that provide innovative materials and smart equipment. These are the so-called ‘Maite’, the camperized evolution of the Sprinter model, and ‘Aiala’, based on the V-Class manufactured at the Mercedes plant in Vitoria-Gasteiz.

Ekide has had the opportunity to participate in this project through its team of engineers oriented to the campering sector. Specifically, they have been responsible for developing the roof of these vans, dealing with the conceptual design, engineering, prototyping, and final industrialization.

Ekide, through its area aimed at the campering sector, offers a comprehensive design and manufacturing service for lifting roofs of extraordinary quality, for leading manufacturers of motorhomes and renowned European camper vans converters.
